Another year has come and almost gone. 2024 has been an adventure both for State Farm, my family, office, and office staff.

Thank goodness we have seen the back door of Helene and Milton, and we're looking forward to a HOPEFULLY calmer 2025.

Other than the traditional celebrations that happen this time of year, here are few fun ones to reflect on:

December celebrates Worldwide Food Service Safety Month. With the holidays approaching make sure your food is prepared safely, washing vegetables and hands, using different cutting boards for raw meats, and making sure your holiday meals are cooked thoroughly.

Operation Santa Paws - during this holiday season lets show a little extra love to our furry friends, whom we love with all our hearts. The goal of Operation Santa Paws is to stock the shelters with much-needed supplies. December is a good time to donate a new blanket, toy, or even some treats for a shelter animal to enjoy.

National Tie Month - this month give a little extra respect to the professional, classy and trendy men in their favorite ties.

BINGO's birthday is observed in December. As we sit around the table with our families and friends this season, how about dusting off the old BINGO board game (if you still own one) and play a round or two.

And lastly, December is National Drunk & Drugged Driving Prevention Month. Please take safety measures to ensure that you never drive impared. Why do we focus on this so seriously? This time of year, between Thanksgiving and New Year's Day is one of the deadliest and most dangerous times on Americas roadways because there is an increase in impaired driving. Please, I encourage you to drive sober, and defensively.
