What month has the longest day of the year? THIS ONE! That’s right, not only are we enjoying extra hours of daylight, pools are also opening up, the sand feels amazing between your toes, the smell of fresh cut grass and the grill getting ready. Its finally the start of summer.

The start of summer brings many opportunities to be with our families; whether visiting a state park nearby, an amusement park, enjoying the beach, of if you prefer hiking a beautiful mountain trail – this season is energizing for so many, and tragic for others.

June is National Safety Month. Let’s prioritize safety in our homes, work, or for fun on the go small actions can make a big difference. A few ideas to try this month – update your first aid kit, learn self-defense, and conduct a home fire drill (or at least change the batteries in your smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors).

Please enjoy the summer responsibly and follow safety guidelines on your endeavors.
